G.Network reaches key milestones in line with new strategy.

G.Network, London’s full fibre broadband provider, is pleased to announce a number of key achievements by the business in progress towards its strategic goal of building a better-connected London.
The company is on target to achieve an accelerated path to profitability since completing a strategic review earlier in the year. The adoption of a new operating model has delivered notable improvements in productivity, customer service and enabled revenue growth. Management is encouraged by the achievement of three critical milestones in the next phase of the growth plan and remain confident about the growth opportunities ahead.
Named as a supplier on Crown Commercial Service’s NS3 Framework
G.Network has been focused on its plans to drive customer growth and is delighted to announce that it has been named as a supplier on Crown Commercial Service’s Network Services 3 Framework (RM61116) for Lot 1a: Inter Site Connectivity (Wider Area Network) / Data Access Services.
G.Network is uniquely positioned to offer high bandwidth, 1Gb and 10Gb solutions, to serve the public sector across its newly built, full fibre network in central London. As a named supplier on NS3 agreement, the company can now supply Inter-Site Connectivity and Data Access Services on a retail and wholesale basis, unlocking a strategic growth opportunity for the business. It is a privilege to be able to work with public sector organisations, including local authorities, blue light services, and health care suppliers.
Crown Commercial Service supports the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services. In 2022/23, CCS helped the public sector to achieve commercial benefits equal to £3.8 billion - supporting world-class public services that offer best value for taxpayers.
First major strategic outsourcing partnership signed with Unipart
As a first step towards simplifying its operating model, G.Network has signed a multi-year contract with Unipart to deliver a wide range of logistic services. The partnership includes the provision of forward and reverse logistics of broadband routers and infrastructure equipment, integrated warehousing, returns and recycling services. As part of the deal, Unipart will also operate a dedicated vehicle fleet to support the G.Network distribution of products to network teams, engineers and sub-contractors. This partnership will help G.Network underpin its accelerated path to profitability and enable a smooth transition to a more efficient operating model. As the business develops and grows in the future, it will seek out other strategic partnership opportunities that enable it to scale efficiently.
New office location and long-term lease
Finally, G.Network has moved to a new Head Office near Silicon Roundabout, taking a long-term lease in one of London’s leading technology hubs. The company is delighted to join the thriving community of innovators and keen to collaborate with like-minded organisations to build a ‘better connected’ London.
These announcements follow the recent £150m of investment and a number of key executive appointments – all of which support the next phase of the growth strategy.
Kevin Murphy, Chief Executive, commented: “G.Network’s mission is to connect more of London’s residents and businesses to our full fibre network. We’re here to serve Londoners with fast, reliable broadband and to do this we need to have a top-quality supply chain in place and keep growing our customer base. Working in partnership with Unipart will make G.Network a more efficient and sustainable business, allowing us to accelerate our next phase of growth, as well as provide our customers with the best possible service, which we aim to do for Crown Commercial Services.
“Myself and the management continue to be encouraged by the ongoing positive momentum across the business and the growth opportunities that lie ahead.”
Ian Gray, Chairman, commented: “I am delighted that we have been able to move so quickly towards some key achievements that are crucial to our success as a business. A great deal of progress has been made over the past couple of years to set the foundations for future success. With the recent investment from our supportive shareholder, a clear growth strategy in place, and a strong management team to deliver that strategy, the outlook for G.Network is a positive one."
