G.Network announces Chairman succession.

After nearly five years, Sean Williams has decided to step down from his role as Chairman at G.Network to pursue other interests.
Since joining in 2018, Sean has seen G.Network grow its network 50-fold, achieve a 40-fold increase in its customer base and establish its position as the leading residential and business fibre network covering London’s central activity zone. He has recruited an industry-leading management team, led by Kevin Murphy (CEO), Jon Hurry (CCO) and Rod Day (CFO), and secured over £500m of investment, including the recently finalised £150m to finance the new business plan for coming years.
Sean said, “G.Network is transforming London’s telecoms infrastructure and has a long bright future ahead. I am delighted to have played my part in its early years, but the time is right for me to move on at this stage.”
Kevin Murphy, CEO of G.Network, said “I am very grateful to Sean for his support and diligence in my first year at G.Network. Sean has been instrumental in the growth of the business and his wise counsel and industry expertise has helped us successfully navigate this start up and investment phase. We wish him all the very best for the future.”
G.Network is pleased to announce that Ian Gray, Non-executive Director at Clancy Group Holdings and SVM UK Emerging Fund, with chairmanship experience of over 20 years, in multiple sectors including infrastructure services and technology has succeeded Sean. We welcome Ian into the G.Network team as we reset the business and scale for growth in the coming years.
