We want to help you achieve your best. From our state-of-the-art Fibre Academy to ongoing internal and external professional development courses, we’re committed to giving you the resources you need to develop yourself and reach new heights.

  3. A career that grows with you.

Since we installed our first connections in 2017, we’ve been moving at pace, and we’ve built a management team committed to helping you do the same. As a result, the Fibre Specialists we hire today will be our next generation of Supervisors and Managers. If you’ve got the ambition, our Structured Career Programme could see you progress your career very quickly.

1. Hone your skills at our Fibre Academy.

You’ll start your Reskillship at our state-of-the-art Fibre Academy; a dedicated learning centre for everyone at G.Network who works on our fibre network. You’ll receive training through the Fibre Academy to give you the skills and knowledge you need to do fibre the G.Network way. Here you’ll specialise in 1 of the 3 core specialisms below, with the opportunity to return to the Fibre Academy later on to train in the remaining areas and become a multi-skilled Fibre Specialist.

  1. Backbone.

G.Networkers who work on the core of our network are known as the Backbone team. Your day-to-day: You’ll spend your day outdoors. Working as part of a team, you’ll be responsible for installing and maintaining our fibre network. Fibre cables are smaller than a strand of hair, so you’ll need to be good at following instructions with high attention to detail. Find out more about working in our Backbone team.

  2. Surveys.

Our Surveys team visits customer properties to figure out how to get our fibre into their buildings. Your day-to-day: You’ll be travelling to customers’ properties to meet them and plan the installation of our state-of-the-art fibre. You’ll decide the best way to connect the customer, draw up detailed installation plans and guide them through the next stage of the process. Find out more about working in our Surveys team.

  3. Installation.

You’ll be part of the team responsible for bringing fibre from the street into peoples’ homes and businesses, giving our customers access to 100% fibre broadband. Your day-to-day: You’ll need to follow the fibre connection plans drawn up by our surveyors so you can confidently connect our customers to the network. Find out more about working in our Installation team.

2. Join a 2-person team and take on your first project.

Once you have been assigned to a team, it’s time to hit the road, tackling your first project alongside two of G.Network’s seasoned Fibre Specialists.

3. Become a fully-fledged Fibre Specialist, helping to bring 100% fibre broadband to the capital.

After you’ve completed your training, become fully accredited and passed our probation period, you’ll be a fully-fledged Fibre Specialist, bringing full-fibre broadband to London.

And your career doesn’t need to stop here. If you’ve got the ambition, there will be a clear path ahead of you. From Fibre Specialist you can become Principal Engineer, then Supervisor, then Manager.

If you’ve got what it takes, the sky’s the limit.
